Weenie-Licked :: Rebooted
2 / 28 / 26
Well, it's happened. I've finally decided to reboot Weenie-Licked. This decision was mainly spurred on by the creation of a brand new incarnation of the Within Hubris Forums - Tribris. Since we're reviving so much of Within Hubris's past culture, it felt right to bring back Weenie-Licked as well since it is both a parody and celebration of said culture.
I must be honest with something, though - this is not the story I originally wanted to tell with Weenie-Licked. This is very much a Weenie-Licked for the modern era of Within Hubris. While this revival is a continuation of that same world, many characters, plot points, and details from the original may be absent.
In a way, you could say that the world of Weenie-Licked has been "split". I still fully intend on telling that original story through a different format at a later date. However, the main focus on this revival is to hone in on the basics and fun of the original.
You can participate in the Weenie-Licked revival here, though it will also occasionally be archived to this site just as the original was.
It's been a while...

Seven years, actually. I doubt anyone actively checks this site anymore, but if anyone's curious, yes - I'm still alive. The main reason why this site hasn't been updated in so long is because I became a GM for the ARG "Johnisdead" sometime in late 2019. Beyond that, my focus has been split between managing the Johnisdead Wiki, archiving ancient Within Hubris lore, and not going broke IRL.
However, another reason why I've stopped updating here is simply because I wasn't happy with the direction M.E.A.T. was going. Looking back at it, it's probably the most awkward thing I've ever created. Something about it just feels very unnatural in terms of dialogue, characters, and even art. I don't absolutely hate it or anything - I'm glad that I made it, even if it ended up being yet another failed attempt to revive Weenie-Licked. That being said, I do intend to properly revive the world of Weenie-Licked one day, though that probably won't be for a while.
Anyway, this post is mainly here to note that the site will be undergoing some changes here and there. For example, the blogs are no longer proper blogs running on Wordpress. Instead, they're simply an archive being hosted on a static page. I still have more work to do and plenty of broken links to fix because I still intend on keeping this site open for a long time.
New Comic: Spiff
2 / 11 / 19
Two new comics in one week? What is this?! Well, it's only technically a new comic. Let me explain. My good friend Greth (the same talented fellow who made Summer Dreamspheres which I spoke about earlier) began his own reader-driven webcomic just last week within the Internet Detectives Discord server. Since Discord servers aren't exactly the most permanent and stable places to host webcomics, we've decided to host it here on Meat Ouchers!
Greth's new comic is called Spiff and it follows the adventures of the titular Andy Spiff. As I mentioned, the comic is reader driven just like Weenie-Licked and A Day With The Frycook. However, the interactivity is only occuring on the Internet Detectives Discord server - you won't find any submissions boxes here, only the archive of the comic. We're doing this to keep up that good ol' tried and true author-reader interaction. If you want to get involved, go ahead and join the Internet Detectives Discord server here!
It's also important to note that since this is merely an archive of a comic being posted elsewhere, and because said comic updates fairly rapidly, comic updates will NOT be shown on the front page. This is done because I don't want to draw attention away from the comic's main source of interaction, and also just so our update box doesn't get too busy. Anyways, if you want to start reading Spiff, click here!
